Wells Rugby Club

Football will undoubtedly hold a lot of our attention during the next several weeks. To add a little spice and interest, and to raise a few pounds for the Club Development Fund, I propose a little competition. This is open to all, the more the merrier, with half the funds being distributed as prizes, and the other half going towards the Development Fund.

This will maintain your interest all the way to the Cup Final.

Entry Forms, with the competition rules, will be available at the club or by clicking the links below and printing them. Entry is by form only, accompagnied by donation of £2. Late entries will be accepted at the club only, up to closing time on 19th June, but for a donation of £3.

On the entry form, you must supply the total number of goals that will be scored by each and every team in the world cup. This includes any goal scored in normal time or extra time,  but excludes goals scored during penalty shoot outs.

Points will be deducted for the difference the estimated score and the actual number scored. The winner will be the person with the smallest total difference.

Entries must be received by closing time at the club, on Tuesday 15th June. Postal entries must be received by last post on Wednesday 16th June. Late entries will be accepted at the club only, up to closing time on 19th June, but for a donation of £3. Email entries are also possible, see entry form.

You will be able to follow progress for youself and others online on the website. This will be updated regularly.

The prize pool will be allocated once I have received all entries. The more who enter, the bigger the prize, so get your mates and work mates involved.

You can put in as many entries as you like, as long as they are all received by the due date.
